Businesses Prefer Independent Uniform Providers!

At SITEX, we’re proud to have been an independent uniform provider for 55 years. After all, independent launderers can provide faster responses to problems and offer clients a higher quality in service personnel and goods. In honor of Independence Day this week, we wanted to share with you the most recent findings by the CSCNetwork into why local/independent providers truly standout in the marketplace.

For almost two decades, the CSCNetwork has dedicated itself and its resources to providing the most comprehensive evaluations, whose goals are to understand the true opinions for retail uniform decision-makers. The CSCNetwork just completed its most recent study for 2015 to showcase how its findings continue to build upon the previous evaluations from 1998, 2004 and 2012.

The 2015 study exposed additional insight to the changing trends in motives for purchase as well as the overall image that is tied to us as local, independent suppliers. It also showcased where our opportunities and challenges lie in overall customer satisfaction and how the industry environment is stacking up from a competitive standpoint with the national chains.

This piggybacked study reiterates to us that findings over a continued long period of time not only promote valuable understanding into the important metrics previously listed but they lead to statistical validity!

Presented at the CSCNetwork Annual Convention in March, the findings for the 2015 study concluded that independent laundry providers are characterized by numerous perceptual advantages to businesses decision makers over the national chains, including better/more personalized service (41% of surveyed agree), supporting the local economy (41%), and greater accessibility (21%).

The 2015 survey results found that 69% of businesses had a “very favorable” attitude towards their rental uniform program, a number that goes up the longer the tenure with their current supplier. Primary benefits to the company for using uniforms include a professional image, cleanliness of clothes, and uniformity of appearance. Moreover, these factors have more than doubled in importance of business owners since 1998.

Even better, independent laundries are rated higher for their timeliness of response to problems, quality of service personnel, service quality, and fair billing policies. Don’t just take our word for it! According to the CSCNetwork findings, almost three-quarters (74%) of those using a local/independent uniform provider “absolutely will” renew their contract with their current supplier.
