The name SITEX, short for “Sights Textiles,” indicates excellence in everything that we do. Next year will mark 55 years in the business, and this milestone is a tribute to the founders, the Sights family, and all of our valued team members, who dedicate their time, energy, and hard work each and every day.
In the 20th century, the world made a significant shift from tailor made, personalized goods to those made for mass production and mass consumption. Wide availability of clothing and goods not only enabled businesses to provide their employees with matching uniforms, it set the stage for SITEX’s success.
Founded in 1961 by the Sights Family, Industrial Uniform Services, Inc. began with some pre-owned laundry equipment and one delivery truck. We grew to five routes and a service area of 75 miles within five years. Industrial Uniform began the acquisition of several smaller rental linen services, opening the doors for a linen rental supply company and a branding change to Sani-Clean Linen & Uniform Service. Over the years, more acquisitions and a few more branding changes to reflect our growing expertise led to a growing service area and the reliability of the SITEX name. In 1999, we became the first and only uniform rental plant in the U.S. to have all our processes ISO certified, which means that an independent organization deemed that SITEX has met or exceeded all operating standards for our industry. This honor reinforces our commitment to excellence and we are proud to operate under such stringent standards. Today we serve a 200 mile radius from our home office in Henderson, KY.
