With the increasing concern with public health and safety, SITEX is committed to doing anything we can to help prevent the spread of illness. Of particular importance is an emphasis on food safety and good hygiene. The CDC estimates that 1 in 6 Americans will catch some sort of foodborne illness each year, and those frequenting restaurants are most likely to contract these type of illnesses. By offering garments specifically designed for and processed with food safety in mind, SITEX is here to help keep your customers healthy.

Our products are non-toxic, and are manufactured according to the American Society for Textiles and Materials, producing textiles that are safe enough to be used in healthcare and medical service industries, food processing, and food service. As part of our textile rental program, these medical-grade garments are separated from our other linens upon collection and specially handled. We use industrial washing processes that have been well proven to reduce microbes and soils from the garments. Things like increasing the temperature of the water to allow the specialty detergents to better clean the garments and a non-toxic bleaching operation to sanitize the clothing. Fabrics are finally exposed to direct heat to dry, which reaches a temperature of 280-380 degrees Fahrenheit, ensuring no microorganisms survive the cleaning process.

We know health is important to you, so get started today with SITEX’s garment rental services or view our catalog, and outfit your employees in the cleanest, safest garments on the market.
