Duties and Responsibilities
This role requires 5-7 years of successful territory sales experience in a B2B or contractual-based sales environment with experience working independently in a targeted market segment. This is a demanding, “hands-on” position that requires strong skills and experience in prospecting, qualifying and closing customer agreements, and the ability to prioritize and complete a wide variety of sales development activities.
II. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Role Focus – New Business Development
A. Prospect, qualify, develop, and close new customer targets in a defined territory, closing new sales and continually developing a pipeline of future customers.
B. Professionally represent SITEX Corporation by upholding the SITEX brand image and customer service promise in a geographic territory to establish and develop new customer relationships for growth in the marketplace.
C. Utilize the sales process to prospect, develop and close sales opportunities through a strategic/blended approach of phone and email communication and introductions, direct visits, prospect cards, referrals, marketing campaigns, etc.
D. Create customer rapport and relationship to effectively qualify needs and expectations for products, pricing, service agreements, etc. for pipeline development.
E. Present and demonstrate products and services in a professional manner, using samples or materials.
F. Prepare, present, and submit sales contracts / agreements / orders for new business in new customer accounts.
G. Professionally engage and collaborate with service team members and District managers to assure customer satisfaction and gain referrals and/or business prospects. Work in conjunction with the District Manager as needed to close sales and ensure smooth transition to customer status.
H. Network with local organizations, associations or related business contacts to create name-brand recognition, generate leads, and establish relationships for future customer sales generation (IE: lead groups, chamber, networking groups, local events, business functions, etc.).
I. Achieve defined weekly sales goals and quota via an established sales process and plan.
J. Communicate effectively with manager any sales challenges, successes and needs associated with new business generation.
III. SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Role Focus – Territory Management & Administration
A. Develop and manage plans to meet territory growth goals.
B. Provide ideas, recommendations and support regarding customer requirements, sales strategy, competition, and company growth.
C. Maintain and refine database of leads and prospective customers.
D. Record, track, and provide reports on sales activities, results, and expenses.
E. Attend/participate in required company meetings, sales meetings, and local, regional, or national industry trade shows or events.
F. Stay up-to-date on sales skills, professional knowledge and self-training to maximize professional growth and advancement.
G. Stay up-to-date on SITEX Corporation’s capabilities, products, services and/or changes to support customer needs.
I. ROLE – RELATED EXPERIENCE OR SKILLS
A. 5-7 years successful sales experience in B2B or contractual sales interfacing with a varied customer base.
B. Experience working independently in a targeted territory from a home or virtual office environment.
C. Strong sales skills in prospecting, qualifying, influencing and closing to secure new business.
D. Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills and abilities.
E. Strong customer-focused, relationship building ability.
F. Proficient in use of technology, computers and software (Excel, Word, Microsoft Office, CRM Software. etc.)
II. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
A. Ability to stand; walk up to five miles per day; sit for prolonged periods operating a vehicle; climb stairs; balance; stoop; kneel; push; pull.
B. Ability to repeatedly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds with proper lifting techniques.
C. Ability to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; ability to reach above shoulder height and below the waist.
D. Ability to see clearly to distinguish and identify color; possess depth perception and wide field of vision.
E. Ability to receive information through verbal & written communication in the English language.
F. Must be at least 21 years old
